Health Inequalities

 Health Inequalities

Health is the state of being free from all the illness  physically and mentally. A healthy person is an asset for the government and it has been continuously working towards attaining a good health for all its citizen. Government had considered Giving a good health to all its citizen as its primary goals. Government sets a huge budget for the development of medical infrastructure. After the pandemic government has increased its medical budget to ensure good medical facilities in Government hospitals of every state. Though some states receive more attention and budget of government the others remain neglected. For example the Health infrastructure of Tamil Nadu is 5x better than that of Madhya Pradesh. The doctors are willing to work in urban area for more pay and exposure and hence avoid placement in rural area. This mentality is the main reason for inequalities faced by the health infrastructure of India.

The fifth in the NFHS series, the National Family Health Survey 2019-21 (NFHS-5), provides data on India's population, health, and nutrition for each state and union territory (UT). NFHS-5, like NFHS-4, gives district-level estimates for a variety of key variables.
To allow for comparisons over time, the contents of NFHS-5 are comparable to those of NFHS-4. Preschool education, handicap, access to a toilet facility, death registration, bathing practises during menstruation, and techniques and reasons for abortion are all new topics in NFHS-5. The range of clinical, anthropometric, and biochemical testing (CAB) has been enlarged to include measurements of waist and hip circumferences, as well as the age range for blood pressure and blood glucose testing. HIV testing, on the other hand, has been discontinued.

The NFHS-5 sample was created to offer estimates of several survey indicators at the national, state/union territory (UT), and district levels. However, only state/union territory (UT) and national estimates of indicators of sexual behaviour, husband's background, and woman's work, HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour, and domestic violence are available.

According to facts and figures provided the health infrastructure of Madhya pradesh has increased over years. The maternity rate has increased to 35.1 in 2021 from 30.5 in 2015-16. Infant mortality rate has decreased from 51.2 to 41.3 and family planning has been quiet in trend in MP. The maternity care rate has also increased from 35.7 to 57.6 over 5 years. People are getting more aware after the outbreak of corona and health conditions are showing a positive growth which is quiet appreciable. The rate of child and adult vaccinations have shown a huge leap of 20%. The treatments available for children disease have shown a positive growth too.
